"Diners, Drive In's, and Dive's" Viewing Party at Fuel |
FUEL Charleston will be featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on Feb. 13 at 10 p.m. The restaurant wants to celebrate this national attention by recognizing the Lowcountry Foodbank. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the mission of the Lowcountry Foodbank, and admission is simply a nonperishable food item. Patrons, guests, VIP’s, and supporters will gather at FUEL starting at 4p.m. to enjoy live music, great food and watch the debut on a large screen on the patio at 10p.m. Don't forget your non-perishable goods!
Students at the Addlestone Hebrew Academy will be participating in a mitzvoth project that teaches them the skills and techniques of the art of collage, and also about childhood hunger in the lowcountry. With materials donated by Publix and Artist and Craftsman, students will create their own assemblages that represent the many empty bowls in our community as part of an ongoing service learning project about hunger. All of the collaged bowls and plates will be auctioned off on Tuesday, January 31 at 7pm at Addlestone Hebrew Academy, and will benefit the LCFB’s BackPack Buddies program. A selected number of bowls and plates will be put on display at the food bank. The auction is open to the public. For more information, call Deb Loesel at 843-747-8146 ext. 110.
