Chefs' Feast 2008: February 24, 2008, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Embassy Suites Airport Charleston Convention Center - Please join us to enjoy an evening of exquisite food and quality entertainment with the Lowcountry's most acclaimed chefs!

Hunger and malnutrition strike nearly one in four children in our community. The Lowcountry Food Bank is dedicated to fighting childhood hunger. Several programs including Kids Café, an innovative after-school program that provides hot, nutritious meals and academic assistance, and BackPack Buddies, a program designed to attack the issue of weekend hunger, are our central tools in the effort to end childhood hunger. Nearly 1,500 children are served each week through both programs.

The Lowcountry Food Bank cannot do it alone. The 9th annual Chefs’ Feast event will help raise the much needed funds for the childhood feeding programs. Led by Chef Robert Carter of Peninsula Grill, the Lowcountry’s most acclaimed chefs will once again join together to fight childhood hunger and celebrate an evening of exquisite food and quality entertainment. “More than 95% of the proceeds from Chefs’ Feast 2008 will support childhood feeding programs. This is by far the most rewarding charity event that I am involved in… all the money stays in our community.” –Chef Robert Carter, Peninsula Grill
