Application Process

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Lowcountry Food Bank! A contractual agreement with our organization provides your program(s) access to a wide variety of quality food and non-food products, as well as access to other services through targeted programs in the ten coastal counties of South Carolina.

This documentation may be: 1) mailed to: Lowcountry Food Bank, Attn: Agency Relations, 2864 Azalea Drive, Charleston, SC 29405; 2) hand delivered to: The Paul Hulsey Community Food and Nutrition Center, Grand Strand RFC or Yemassee RFC; 3) submitted electronically to: Zakevia Lewis-Kendrick. No faxes please!

In addition to completing the membership application, a site visit to your agency by the Lowcountry Food Bank's representative as well your attendance at an orientation are required before your organization is approved for a 90 day provisional membership. During the provisional membership, the Lowcountry Food Bank and your agency will work in partnership to ensure quality service to our clients by: successfully completing two unscheduled site visits; completing ServSafe training, also available through the Lowcountry Food Bank, or providing your certificates if the training has already been completed by your staff; and implementing any other recommendations made by the Lowcountry Food Bank.

Children at Risk of Hunger in Every County

More than 1,000 counties in our nation have more than one in four children at risk of hunger. Feeding America's Map the Meal Gap study shows that children struggle with hunger throughout our country.  See what South Carolina's face of hunger looks like by learning more!!

Together we can end hunger! Each day the LCFB advocates on behalf of the 220,000 families, children and elderly we serve throughout our 10 county service area.
